Which country is the project in?

Fire rules are not the same in every market. We first ask for the country, building use and the fire standard written in the project documents.

Which WPC profile will be used?

We do not use one fire report for every WPC panel. Profile shape, material and panel build can change the test result. We check the report against the product you plan to use.

How will the wall be built?

The visible WPC panel is only one part of the facade. We also need to know the wall, subframe, cavity, insulation and fixing method.

Who will approve the fire system?

For regulated buildings, the architect, fire engineer or local approval team may need to check the complete wall system. We provide product information and available test records for this review.

Our Project Experience

We do not tell a contractor that a fire-rated panel makes the whole wall fire safe. The panel, subframe, cavity, insulation, fixing parts and project fire design must work together.

For exterior WPC cladding, we normally check the support frame before installation. Aluminum or treated steel subframes are common options in our project work.

We also check panel movement, fixing points, corners, windows and wall openings. These details should be planned before the material reaches the site.

• Do not copy a fire rating from a different WPC profile.
• Do not choose the fixing system after the panels arrive.
• Do not close required wall ventilation without checking the facade design.
• Do not change tested system parts without project approval.

 

We Check the Evidence Before Final Approval

 

We have historical fire test records for selected WPC profiles. We do not use these old results as a general rating for every current product.

If your tender asks for a fire class or test standard, send it to us before the order. We check whether the selected WPC profile has suitable test evidence. If not, the requirement needs to be reviewed before production.
